Welcome to Fundamentals of Feminine Power, Module 3

Voice and Vision

Guidelines for a Successful Experience:

We suggest waiting at least one week between calls. There is so much information and energetic transmissions that need space and time to integrate. It is best to listen to each call twice, as the astrology info is dense and the energy work is multilayered- your system will process what it can, typically what shows itself first. Once that is digested, a new layer or angle on your belief system emerges to be catalyzed. You get something different each time you listen.

Please be gentle and kind with yourself.

Session 1: Voice/Mercury

Suggested homework:

Journal your answers to the following questions:

  • In what situations do you freeze up when you know you should be speaking?
  • How/where do you stand in your truth and where do you give it away?
  • What do you really want to tell the world? What do you know to be true that you don’t talk about because it’s too scary/weird/etc?
  • What do you think would happen to you if you spoke this truth? (Let your imagination run wild.)

The book Emily quoted from on the call is Astrology and the Rising of Kundalini by Barbara Hand Clow

Session 2: Vision/Jupiter

Suggested homework:

Journal your answers to the following questions:

  • Where are you already using your intuition in your life, and where do you hold back from giving voice to or heeding your intuition?
  • What came up for you when you did the exercise in class: What truth do you know but don’t always embody? Share how you can support yourself to feel that truth in your body.
  • Carolyn Myss’ self-examination questions for the 6th/3rd Eye: “What attitudes do you have that disempower you? – What beliefs do you continue to accept that you know are not true? – Are you judgmental? If so, what situations or relationships bring out that tendency? – Do you know you need to change but continually postpone taking action? If so, identify those situations and your reasons for not acting.”

Session 3: Integration

Suggested homework:

Journal your answers to the following questions:

  • Where in your life do you feel like you have to have the answers and might jump in with words before you’re really clear about your truth, or instead of saying you don’t know?
  • Where in your professional or personal life do you default into trying to fix or solve someone’s situation rather than being with them in the discomfort?
  • Where in your life is not knowing the most challenging?

Practice getting close to the “unknown” that’s most challenging. If you’re working with a partner, do this exercise with her, and then discuss what came up. What feelings or sensations in your body does that unknown bring up for you? Practice snuggling up to it, putting your arm around it and breathe (as we did on the call) and notice if you feel more peace being with the unknown.

Choose an area of life that you want more insight into and practice going through 5-step process of accessing your truth that Katie outlined in the call.

1. Ground, come into embodied awareness (do a body scan, if that’s helpful).
2. Clear any emotional charge that might be present (e.g., tap your cortices).
3. Be curious – what is the energy behind my question?
4. What is the message – what do I want to communicate or what do I want to be present?
5. Speak with love (if the query involves speaking your truth). Give yourself an inner hug.

Books mentioned on the call: Tosha Silver’s Outrageous Openness and Change Me Prayers, and Mirabai Starr’s Dark Night of the Soul (John of the Cross)
